2013 Activities

TCMC, the Taiwan Choral Music Center, is in its 13th year and now holds the Spring Vocal Festival each April. The festival consists of three parts: “Super Vocal Carnival” featuring a fine roster of Taiwanese groups, “Gala Concert” featuring visiting groups in a flagship concert, plus “Tour Concerts” at a variety of venues around Taiwan, such as train stations and schools. The Spring Vocal Festival brings homegrown vocal bands into the limelight and introduces contemporary a cappella singing to a wider audience through top-notch visiting performers.

For the 2013 festival, “OMMM” from France brought their mechanized sound; “The Exchange” from the United States brought soulful jazz; and “MICappella” from Singapore brought explosive charisma. The three groups decidedly captivated audiences with their tuneful grooves and stage presence.
