2011 Activities

Choral music originated in Europe with the core and foundation of a cappella singing, or singing without instrumental accompaniment. In recent years, vocal bands have grown popular in the West – a pleasant surprise to many instrumentalists. In Taiwan as well, the Art of Contemporary A Cappella-Vocal Band has flourished under TCMC’s effort to promote the art form.

This year, TCMC has invited “Mansound” from Ukraine and “Singers” from Denmark to perform in Taiwan. These vocal bands, celebrated across Europe for their excellence, bring fresh ideas and learning experiences to Taiwan. Their performances also testify to the unique and timeless beauty of the human voice.

Using "voice" to record the developments of choral music in Taiwan, classic performances of the Masters reveal the quintessence of cultural aesthetics. It is a sincere harmonious praise to the heritage of the Masters.
