feliz y contentu, 

cuando me dormía

me iba diciendo :

“Eha, eh !

tú has de sermarqués,

conde o caballeru, ”

y por midesgracia

yo aprendí a“goẍeru. ”

Facía los“goẍos ”

en mes de Ẍineru 

y por el verano

cobraba el dineru.

Aquí estala vida

del pobre“goẍeru, ”

“Eha, eh ! ”

You shoile become a marquis

A count or a gentlemen.’’

But alas, I learned

to weave baskets

All during January

I made baskets,

And during the summer

I collected the money.

我母親撫養我

快樂且滿足。

我睡著的時候

她會說：

「搖籃曲，搖籃曲

你將會是一個侯爵

伯爵，或是一位紳士。」

但是，唉，我學會

編織籃子

一月整個月

我做了籃子，

而夏天時

我收了款。

這就是生活

一個靠編籃子維生的人過的生活，
