Edward Elgar (1857-1934)，是管風琴師與音樂經紀人之子，拉得一手小提琴，但並未接受任何正式的作曲訓練。在全力投身音樂事業之前，Elgar在教堂擔任管風琴師，於1892年轉行作曲，並以宗教音樂為出發，陸續創作許多經典作品。

艾爾加是英國音樂「文藝復興」的代表，對當代英國作曲家有深遠的影響。他的部份作品受歐洲新古典樂風與浪漫風格的影響，而結合來自英國民間的旋律與和聲進行，為英國音樂發展立下典範。此專輯由英國著名合唱指揮家Donald Hunt指揮Worchester Cathedral Choir與The Donald Hunt Singers所錄製的Elgar合唱作品。曲目如下：
