This is what we say:

Next year in Jerusalem,

Now at last next year,

Next year is really here,

So come along with me.

History has shown,

Suffering has grown,

Mankind isn’t kind at all.

Can’t we stop this hate,

Before it is too late,

And act as neighbors should?

Shalom, Yerushalayim.

Our daily prayer is for peace.

We hope the bitterness will cease.

It isn’t far just take my hand,

And soon, so soon, Yerushalayim,

We will reach the Promised Land.

If you really care,

Listen to my prayer,

Listen to me,

Loving is the answer,

skies were bluer,

and the trees were greener 

and the sea was as pure as crystal?

Do you remember when life was simple,

love was precious,

and the words came straight from your heart?

Do you remember when?

Make our world safe and beautiful again!
