Let us walk in the white snow

In a soundless space;

with footsteps quiet and slow, 

at a tranquil pace under veils of white lace.

I shall go shod in silk and you in wool, 

white as a white cow’s milk,

more beautiful than the breast of a gull.

We shall walk through the still town in a windless peace;

we shall step upon white down,

upon silver fleece,

upon softer than these.

We shall walk in velvet shoes: wherever we go

Silence will fall like dews on white silence below.

We shall walk in the snow.

 

讓我們走在白雪中

在無聲的空間；

腳步聲安靜而緩慢，

在白色蕾絲面紗下以寧靜的節奏。

我會穿上絲綢，你穿羊毛，

白色如白牛奶，

比海鷗的乳房更美麗。

我們將在無風的寧靜中穿過靜謐的小鎮；

我們將踩下白色，

如履銀色羊毛，

如滿地輕絮。

我們將穿著天鵝絨鞋走路：無論走到哪裡

沉默會像露水一樣降在底下的白色沉寂。

我們將在雪中行走。
