Sometimes a light surprises

The Christian while he sings;

It is the Lord who rises

With healing in His wings.

When comforts are declining,

He grants the soul again 

A season of clear shining,

To cheer it after rain,

And calm my soul again.

In holy contemplation

We sweetly then pursue

The theme of God’s salvation,

And find it ever new;

Set free from present sorrow,

We cheerfully can say,

“Let the unknown tomorrow

Bring with it what it may, for he shall be my way.”

It can bring with it nothing

But He will bear us through;

Who gives the lillies clothing

Will clothe His people too;

Beneath the spreading heavens,

No creature but is fed;

And He who feeds the ravens

Will give His children bread,

Give them bread,

His children shall be fed.

And when a light surprises the Christian while he sings,

The song within him rises to praise the Kings.

Yet God the same abiding,

His praise shall tune my voice;

For while in Him confiding,

I cannot but rejoice,

O praise the Lord!

 

當他唱歌時，

有時一道光能讓基督徒感到驚訝；

升起的是主

隨著祂的翅膀癒合。

當舒適度下降時，

他再次授予靈魂

一個清晰閃耀的季節，

雨後歡呼吧，

並再次平息我的靈魂。

在聖潔的沉思中

我們甜蜜地追求

上帝拯救的主題，

並發現它是新的；

擺脫現在的悲傷，

我們高興地說，

「讓未知的明天

帶來它可能會帶來的，因為祂將是我的方式。」

它什麼都不帶

但祂會幫助我們；

祂給百合花穿上服裝

也會為祂的子民穿上衣服；

在傳播的天空之下，

沒有生物，但都有餵食；

而祂餵烏鴉

會給祂的孩子們麵包，

給他們麵包，

他的孩子將會被餵食。

當他唱歌時，一道光會讓基督徒感到意外，

他內心的歌聲揚起來讚美王。

然而，上帝仍然存在，

他的讚美會調整我的聲音；

因為在祂的信任中，

我不能不高興，

啊，讚美主啊！
