“The sound of music”

The hills are alive with the sound of music,

With songs they have sung for a thousand years.

The hills fill my heart with the sound of music.

My heart wants to beat like the wings

of the bird that rise from the lake to the trees.

My heart wants to sigh like a chime

that flies from a church on a breeze,

To laugh like a brook when it trips

and falls over stones on it’s way,

To sing through the night like a lark

who is learning to pray.

I go to the hills when my heart is lonely,

I know I will hear what I’ve heard before.

My heart will be blessed with the sound of music

and I’ll sing once more.

 

“My Favorite Things”

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,

Kettles and warm woolen mittens,

Brown paper packages tied up with strings.

These are a few of my favorite things.

 

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels,

Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles.

Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings,

These are a few of my favorite things.

 

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes,

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,

Silver white winters that melt into springs,

These are a few of my favorite things.

 

When the dog bites,

When the bee stings,

when I’m fleeing sad,

I simply remember my favorite

things and then I don't feel so bad

 

”Do-Re-Mi”

Doe, a deer, a female deer,

Ray, a drop of golden sun,

Me, a name I call myself,

Far a long, long way to run.

Sew a needle pulling thread,

La a note to falling sew,

Tea a drink with jam and bread,

That will bring us back to Do!

Ev’ry path you know.

音樂之聲

音樂之聲喚醒了山巒大地，

在傳唱了千年的歌聲中。

群山以樂音豐富了我的心靈，

而我的心欲隨著樂音歌唱。

我的心渴望像鳥兒的翅膀般跳動，

從湖中振翅飛上樹梢，

我的心渴望向鐘聲般嘆息，乘著微風

飛躍教堂，

歡笑如那小溪流過小石，

整夜歡唱著如那學著祈禱的雲雀。

當我心寂寞時我會上山去，

我將聽到那熟悉的歌曲。

我的心受到音樂的祝福，

而我將再次歡唱。

 

“我心愛的東西”

玫瑰上的雨滴及小貓的鬚兒，

懷表及溫暖的毛織手套，

被帶子綑上的棕櫚色包裹，

這些是我喜愛的。

 

奶油色的小馬及鮮脆的蘋果卷，

門鈴、雪橇鈴及配著小牛肉片的麵條，

展翅翱翔在月兒旁的野雁，

這些是我喜愛的。

 

穿上白衣和柔軟亮麗腰帶的少女，

掉在鼻子和睫毛上的雪花，

當銀白色的冬天融化在春天中，

這些是我喜愛的。

 

當狗咬我，

當蜜蜂叮我

當我心情低落時，

我只要想起我心愛的事物我就不再難過了

 

“Doe”；鹿，一隻母鹿，

“Ray”；一絲的金色陽光，

“Me”；對自己的稱呼，

“Far”；一條漫長的路，

“Sew”；針牽動著線，

“La”；跟隨著“Sew”的音符

“Tea”；伴著果醬和麵包的飲料，

接著帶領我們回到了“Do”。
