There is a garden in her face

Where roses and white lilies grow;

A heav’nly paradise is that place,

Wherein all pleasant fruits do flow.

Those cherries fairly do enclose

Of orient pearl a double row,

Which when her lovely laughter shows,

They look like rosebuds filled with snow.

Those sacred cherries to come nigh,

Till ‘cherryripe’ themselves do cry.

 

她的臉上有一座花園

玫瑰百合一齊盛開； 

那個地方勝似天堂， 

各色鮮果在枝頭搖擺。 

這些櫻桃嬌豔無比

燦爛的明珠鑲嵌成排， 

迷人的笑聲蕩漾， 

像玫瑰花蕾鮮紅透著雪白。

神聖的櫻桃近在面前，

除非等到聽見她們開始高聲叫賣「櫻桃熟了」。
