美國女詩人Louise Bogan（1897-1970）出身愛爾蘭籍工人家庭，對大自然及女性的內心世界的描寫別出一格，韻腳精巧。異於善攝哲學觀念的詩人同儕，她的詩易讀但不俗，有些十九世紀的傳統味道，背後的情思卻十分現代。此曲中，作曲家巴伯鋪置了一條恆流的河，像時間或命運，推動誓立不朽之愛的男女前行、消失。圈圈相連的水波上，永恆是否只係兩人之間的妄想？ |
