A dove flew down from heaven,

A dove rare and pure,

In angel garb appearing,

To greet a maid demure:

“All grace I bring you,

Tender, lovely maid.

No soul with such adorning Has ever been arrayed.”

 “I bring you joyous greetings:

The Lord is with you!

A Child you will be bearing;

You must believe it’s true.

So welcome, open wide your heart 

That God upon this visit His favor may impart.”

To this the virgin, bowing, responded with awe:

“If this is what He wishes,

His wish shall be my law.

Yet more than willing I surrender me,

If such Love is my Master,

His servant I will be.”

And so the Gift was given, our Helper in need,

New life to dwell among us, eternal God indeed!

This Jesus Christ Child, son whom Mary bore,

Is come to be our Savior, to heav’n our open Door.”

從天而降的鴿子，

罕見而純潔的鴿子，

有如天使般岀現，

迎接端莊謙恭的童女：

「我滿滿地把恩典帶給你，

溫柔良善的童女，

毫無矯飾，潔白無瑕的靈魂。」

「我獻上喜樂的問候：上主與你同在！

你將懷有一孩子，這是千真萬確的。

來，敞開心靈，讓上主所想成就在你身上。」

 

童女恭恭敬敬地回應：

「就如祂所願，祂的旨意就是我的律法，

然而，我更願意放下自己，

我主就是愛，我就為祂的僕人。」

永恆的上帝拯救我們，祂帶給我們新生命！

馬利亞所生，嬰孩耶穌基督，

降生成為我們的救主，為我們打開天國的門戶。

上主，求祢垂憐。
