Be still when filled with sorrow,

tomorrow will show thee what God ordains will comfort and sustain thee.

When night is pain and sorrow,

the morrow will bring thee God’s strength and might by day,

by night, for God is love and mercy.

Be brave and never fear thee,

God’s near thee;

be faithful to God’s good will,

be still and know He’s near thee,
