Dirty days have September,

and November,

from January up to May 

the rain it raineth ev’ry days;

all the rest have thirty-one without a blessed gleam of sun;

if any of them had two and thirty,

they’d be sun,

and twice as dirty,

Rain long foretold,

short notice,
