As I look back thru the years 

And I think of all the all the times 

My life was like a poem,

Lord,

that never had a rhyme.

Then You wrote within my heart

All the love You have for me,

And my life became a masterpiece of God’s own poetry.

You’re the Poet of my life,

The Director of the play,

Designer of the set of life

Who gave me words to say.

And I’ll memorize each line,

But an actor I won’t be,

For I’ll freely praise and glorify Your name eternally.

May my life rhyme with your life,

Lord,

Let all the praises flow Into a poem that expresses the love I want to show,

And when the last words are spoken may ev’ry body see You were the Poet of my life 

Who took a simple verse and made a love song out of me.

My life had no direction 

My heart had no compassion,

But my soul was crying out for God to hear.

And praise God,

He heard the cry,

Touched my heart and changed my life.

Now ev’ry purpose is clear,

so clear,

 

當我回顧過去幾年

我想到那時

我的人生就像一首詩，

主，

從未有過韻律。

然後你寫在我的心裡

所有你對我的愛，

然後我的生命成了上帝的詩歌傑作。

你是我生命中的詩人，

戲劇的導演，

生活的設計師

給了我說出口的措詞。

我會記住每一行，

但是我不會成為演員，

因為我會永遠地讚美和榮耀你的名字。

願我的生活與你的生活能和諧一致，

主，

讓所有的讚美流入一首詩，表達我想表達的愛，

當最後的措詞說出時，可能會有人看到

你是我生命中的詩人

寫下一首簡單的詩歌，並從我身上創作出一首情歌。

我的生活沒有方向

我的心沒有同情心，

但是我的靈魂正在呼喚上帝能夠聽到。

讚美上帝，

他聽到了呼喚，

觸動了我的心，並且改變了我的人生。

現在每個目的都很明確，

十分清晰，
