Carousel!

As I walk by the carousel,

The calliope’s,

Playing

right in tune with the barker’s call.

Can you hear what he’s saying?

If you take one step off the ground,

You can travel around and round.

Take your money and pay your fare.

Buy a ticket to anywhere.

As my horse me up and down,

going higher and higher,

Out of reach is a golden ring.

It’s the thing I desire.

If the circle of gold were mine,

all my days would be full and fine,

spinning round in a magic spell,

on the wonderful Carousel!

Time goes on and the sun goes down still the calliope’s playing.

All the world’s going round and round and the barker’s still saying:

Carousel!
