A summer shower is a half an hour of constant pitter patter on a roof,

in a proof positive and plain of the steady survival of the re-arrival of the long a waited reiterated fall of the rain;

When the pipes and the ponds are flowing

And the gutters get going again,

And the downpour crash are defeated in splashes repeated on the window pane;

Till drop by drop it starts to stop and through a cleft of blue in a cloud the constant sky is allowed to return to the eye.

 

夏季陣雨在屋頂上持續半小時發出拍撻拍撻聲，

很明顯，我們一直期待的降雨再次下降；

當管道和池塘流動時

雨水再次流淌，

傾盆大雨碰撞在窗玻璃上，反覆飛濺，最後潰散；

直到雨逐漸轉成一滴一滴，陣雨開始停止，透過雲中的藍色裂隙，天際返回眼前。
