Būnda jharī

Gorī kī kāyā para pāvasa kī būnda jharī 

Ghungharāle bālon par chāndī kī fūhī gīrī

Sweda snigdha gālo par Reshamakī larī girī gorī kī tapati harī

Naino mē tripati bharī

Zara-zara-zara—the drops fall.

Zara-zara-zara—on the damsel’s body the raindrops fall.

On the smooth cheeks—silky threads of water slide.

The heat on her body is cooled by the rain.

The thirst in his eyes is quenched by the rain.

 

嘩啦嘩啦，下雨了

嘩啦嘩啦，下在黃花閨女的身上

下在那粉嫩的雙頰，像蠶絲一般的滑順

雨水消除她體內的暑氣

雨水紓解她眼中的渴望
