ramyāni vīkshya madhurānś ca niśamya śabdān

partutsukī bhavati yat sukhito ‘pi jantuh

tac cetasāsmarati nūnam abodhapūrvam

bhāvasthirāni jananāntarasauhrdāni

Even man who is happy

glimpes something

or a hair of sound touches him

and his heart overflows with a longing

he does not recognize

 

then it must be that he is remembering

in a place out of reach

shapes he has loved

 

in a life before this

the print of them still there in him waiting

Man is made of love

 

就算一人快樂

瞥見事物

或聽聞一絲細語

而心中充滿渴望

從未遇過的渴望
