Ev’ning has come in shadows of gray,

and the winter wind blows bitter and cold.

All of the world in silence awaits the child the prophets have foretold.

Let us now prepare our hearts to receive him,

Filled with hope and free from fear.

The true Messiah will soon appear.

Come, thou long expected Jesus born to set thy people free.

Through the pow’r of love redeem us,

Let us find our rest in Thee.

Born thy people to deliver,

Born a child and yet a King.

Born to reign in us forever;

now thy gracious kingdom bring.

He will come to guide and teach us,

Sent to earth from heav’n above.

Come thou long expected Jesus,

Warm our hearts with peace, and with love.

今更帶來榮耀天國

祂將帶領教導我們

自天國降臨人世間

渴望已久的耶穌請降臨

用和平與愛溫暖我們的心
