I watch the common people live and die,

Between the hard earth and the windy sky.

I watch the great ones ruling, in their pride,

That cannot last, the life that cannot bide.

I watch the wild life stirring in the wood,

The green sap and hungering the blood,

I watch the mind that seeks and will declare the meaning and the purpose every where.

We keep the watch and face the wind that blows,

While under us the Heavy hour goes

North South East West Weathervane.

 

我觀察凡人生來逝去

在黃土與蒼風之間

我縱看君王建國立業

轉眼隳壞，物是人非

我瞧見林間萬物顫動

樹木欣欣向榮，猛獸交相競逐

我目睹那心靈，總在各處找出旨趣意義

我們觀察張望，永遠面朝風向

下方卻如滄海一粟

東南西北，盡在風向標中
