It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;

it gather to a greatness like the ooze of oil crushed.

Why do men then now not reck His flame out,

Why do men then now not reck His rod?

Generations have trod;

And all is seared with trade;

bleared, smeared with toil;

And wears man’s smudge,

and shares man’s smell;

the soil is bare now,

nor can foot feel being shod.

 

And for all this,

nature is never spent;

There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;

And though the last lights off the black West went,

Oh, Morning, at the brown brink eastward morning springs,

Because the Holy Ghost over the bent 

world broods with warm breast,

and with bright wings.

 

天地間充滿上主的榮光

它必閃耀，如金箔經人搖晃

它將恢宏滿盈，如油脂塗抹發光

凡人何不仰望其鋒芒

凡人何不臣服其權杖？

芸芸眾生來去

汲汲營營而心智隳壞

日日勞動而糊塗昏花

沾染塵世汙跡

吸附凡俗腥臭

田地荒蕪 

足上著履而不知所覺

 

言雖如此，自然永不耗竭

純真活力孕育於萬物至深

縱然西方遲暮，暗夜將屆

看那清晨，東方破曉的一線褐紅

聖靈降臨在宇宙洪荒

孕育以仁慈的胸襟

與清朗的羽翼
