| 樂 曲 解 說 | 英國作曲家霍斯特(1874-1934)運用豐富的創作手法，將這首著名的英格蘭民謠編寫成無伴奏的混聲四部合唱曲。全曲共有六個段落：第一段以旁觀者的角度敘述女主角的出現；第二段則轉為由女主角敘述自己與愛人之間的戀情；兩段皆由女高音唱出主旋律，其他聲部則以流動的線條支持和聲。第三段在女聲輕柔地唱出“I love my love”的和聲襯托下，男高音緩緩唱出女主角等待愛人歸來的心情。第四段敘述女主角的愛人歸來時的情景，主旋律由男低音帶出，而後其他聲部陸續出現，並且藉著速度的轉換達到歌曲的高潮。第五段是男聲與女聲的對唱，代表著男女主角情感的回應。第六段則回到旁觀者的角度，敘述有情人終成眷屬，音樂的表現方式與第三段相同，最後以聲部交錯的尾聲作為結束。 |
