取材自家喻戶曉「一千零一夜」神話故事的《阿拉丁》，在1992年11月上映，是迪士尼第31部經典動晝，呈現十足百老匯的娛樂色彩。金獎大師亞倫孟肯(Alan Menken)流暢奔放、兼具阿拉伯炫惑撩人的旋律，獲奧斯卡最佳原著配樂獎。亞倫孟肯的最佳拍檔霍華愛許曼(Howard Ashman)於本專輯留下三首遺世絕響。東尼獎作詞家提姆萊斯(Tim Rice)加入成為新的製作陣容，與孟肯合作主題曲「A Whole New World」，由節奏藍調唱將比柏布萊森(Peabo Bryson)、蕾姬娜貝兒(Regina Bell)浪漫對唱，獲奧斯卡最佳歌曲獎。片中阿拉丁帶著茉莉公主乘魔毯飽覽世界奇景，一路對唱這首蕩氣迴腸的情歌，最後休憩在中國天安門廣場的屋頂上。
